La Golondrina Restaurant review

This Mexican restaurant located in Olvera Street, the oldest part of downtown Los Angeles has been an institution for decades. Its festive Mexican vibe and authentic traditional food will have you coming back for more. I had the Mole Poblano, chicken cooked in a chocolate mole sauce which was wonderfully flavored and one of the best mole I’ve had. The other must try dish is their Cochinita Pibil (slow cooked pork in banana leaves). They also have terrific margaritas and the patio sitting is great for people watching.
