Coconut Cardamom Balls

Ingredients:
300g unsweetened shredded coconut
1 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cardamom
Directions:
Heat a large, thick bottomed pan on medium-high heat. Put the coconut and sugar in the pan and reduce heat to low. Cook the mixture on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently till the mixture becomes sticky.
Stir in the cardamom powder and remove from heat.
Take a bowl of cold water and dip your hands in it. Use your wet hand to take a small lump of the mixture and roll it into a ball of about 3/4 inch diameter. You can make about 20 balls from the mixture. Serve with tea or coffee.
