Peshawari Paneer

Ingredients:
250g paneer (Indian cottage cheese)
100g butter
1 cup cream
2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp cardamom
3 tsp chili powder
2 onions, chopped
4 tomatoes, chopped
2-inch fresh ginger, chopped
5 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp salt
½ cup water
2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
Directions:
Cut paneer into cubes. Grind ginger, garlic, onion, tomatoes and cardamom into a paste in a food processor.
Heat the ghee in a small pan. Add the tomato-onion paste to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Put the paneer cubes in the ghee and fry for 4 minutes.
Add water and salt to the pan. Fry for another 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
When mixture comes to a boil, stir in the chili powder, butter and cream.
Simmer for 5 more minutes stirring occasionally.
Sprinkle the garam masala and simmer for 2 more minutes.
Remove from heat and serve.
