Blue Star Donuts Restaurant Review

Restaurant Review:
Blue Star's signature brioche-style doughnuts, all made with an 18-hour process and a lot of butter are delicious and not to be missed. The donuts are made fresh by hand every day with high quality bread flour, cage-free eggs, whole hormone-free milk, European-style butter and are cooked in rice oil.
I tried a couple of their donuts at their Venice location.
Their ever popular Blueberry-Basil-Bourbon glazed donut was a combination of fresh blueberries, fragrant basil and Bulleit Bourbon making it a winning combination. The Apple Fritter donut was scrumptious.
The PB&J donut filled with juicy blackberry compote, with the faintest hint of habanero pepper and tossed in peanut butter powder was amazing. The Pina Colada tasted tropical and was good. The bright and colorful Raspberry Rosemary Buttermilk donut had fresh raspberry puree combined with hibiscus tea, and notes of fresh rosemary paired with buttermilk old-fashioned making it a terrific combination.
