Individual Apple Tarts
230g puff pastry
14g brown sugar
1 green apple
On a tray with baking sheet, cut the puff pastry into equal-sized rectangles for each tart base.
Poke holes in the center of each tart puff pastry base with a fork. Do not pierce the borders.
Peel and cut a green apple into thin slices. Put 4 to 6 apple slices on each tart base.
Pour a little bit of brown sugar on each tart.
Cut the butter into squares. Put two pieces on each tart and sprinkle a bit of brown sugar on top.
Bake tarts for 10 minutes at 220ºC. Remember to keep the baking paper underneath the tarts.
Remove tarts from the oven. Brush each tart with a mixture of peach jam mixed with water using a basting brush.
Bake at 180ºC for about 15 or 20 minutes until tarts are crisp and golden. Serve warm.
